Andrew founded ForestNation in September 2007. He has led the conception, creation, design and development of ForestNation, and is committed to encouraging everyone to grow their own tree. Andrew attended Kings College University in London where he studied Philosophy, and his greatest piece of advice came from Professor Mark Sainsbury; “whatever it is you do in life, make sure it has a purpose.”
James is an international photographer & documentary film maker based in Barcelona, Spain. After graduating in Geography (BSc) from the University of Durham he moved to join the global advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi. After several years in advertising he bought his first camera. Having covered several wars & a large natural disaster James joined forces with Forest Nation to increase his involvement in ecologically friendly activities.
Lori Byrd grew up in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Her grandfather, who worked for the National Park Service she so loves, taught her to appreciate nature and to protect the gifts that she has been given. She’s married with one son who she raised before beginning her career in maintenance and hydroelectric planning at Alcoa Power Generating Inc. (ALCOA Inc.) She loves to travel and has visited several countries in Central America and the Caribbean region.
Tony and ForestNation have long roots going back to his inspirational help at the beginning. He focused on communications around Europe and Latin America, and now as an Ambassador in China. Tony is passionate about our goal and his dedication will help us to make a it a success. Tony was instrumental in ForestNation’s first major campaign in Spain with Foundation Repsol and is responsible for the 29,433 trees planted.
Tharien worked in the online advertising industry for 12 years and is now taking time out to focus on her passions: travel and the great outdoors. She’s currently travelling through South America to learn about and contribute to nature conservation, community development and sustainable farming. She’s fallen in love with the landscapes on her journey and shares them on our blog “Nature is imagination”. With this contribution she aims to build awareness of the beauty that exists in our world and inspire people to love and help protect these fragile environments

Oscar was born in Colombia and at the age of ten he had the great opportunity to live in Europe where he worked in several multinational companies in different countries. ForestNation offers not only the means to mix his private life with his professional but it also offers him the option to work with something he really likes and believes in. Improving the environment is something we all need to consider and it’s important we act NOW.
Ambassador | Optimiser
Alex Dantart is an investor, headhunter, analyst & optimiser. He has been creating internet-related companies in Zaragoza, Barcelona, Madrid and New York for over a decade. He’s a specialist in optimisation, which is a service he offers with his company Uptimiza. As a science and Earth lover, Alex has been officially translating “Astronomical Picture of the Day” from NASA for almost 20 years, and running a general science blog for more than 10 years.
Ambassador | India
Lives in Bangalore India. A business school graduate from UNH Connecticut having around twenty years of work experience in sales , marketing and general management in senior leadership roles in Indian and many multinational corporations like TNT, DHL. Is very passionate about “Greening” the environment and is associated with or member of various organisation and movements like the Earth Warriors, Greenpeace, and groups like Indian CSR practitioners and green. Will be responsible for leading the Forestnation movement in India.
Sanya was born and raised in Croatia. An economics (hons) graduate from Osijek University. Having worked in public relations and marketing in the Croatian tourism industry, she joined the ForestNation team in early January 2013. Since then she has been focusing her energy into lead generation and boosting school fundraising using our tree kits. She has a real passion for green living and caring for wildlife.
Jeff has worked as an educational assistant supporting students with special needs, for the Upper Canada District School board, for the last 25 years. Through his passion for gardening Jeff opened his own garden to tourists from all over the world to visit. Jeff created the Garden Foundation, which he has used to teach children about the therapeutic benefits of gardening. He has worked with Stan Lee, creator of Spiderman, and John August to create sunflower seed packets to honor specific events.
Mary E LaLuna
Mary is an education specialist focused on STEM and Integrated Problem Based Design centred in the heart of the USA. With over 13 years in education she has established an online network to connect people from around the world, ArtSeesDiner believes in “changing the world one song at a time, one heart at a time.” In addition to her online work, she has established a successful online radio show, ArtSees Diner Radio, through the BlogTalkRadio network. Her goal as a “seed” planter is to be a transformer, an advocate, to make a difference. Author of “Flower and Stone,” she parallels the reality that there is nothing more beautiful than seeing a seed manifest growth as it cuts through stone!
Ambassador for Entertainment Industry
Adam is a producer of multi-media, writer, and social entrepreneur based in New Zealand. He graduated with a degree in Social Anthropology from Massey University. Since then, he has undertaken courses in music and theatre studies. Adam has written a book about New Zealand society as seen by well-known New Zealanders; completed a bi-lingual music tribute to Leonardo da Vinci in 1998, the 500th anniversary of Leonardo’s fresco The Last Supper. Since the new millennium he has been assisting filmmaker and writer Liz Greenwell in her two major film projects about civil society on a global scale; and the greatest example of global cooperation ever committed to celluloid. Adam supports Forest Nation for its direct and simple approach to important sustainability issues; and for what Forest Nation teaches us all about justice, peace, goodwill and the ecology.
