ForestNation organizes Thanksgiving tree planting day
Giving back to nature by planting a tree on Thanksgiving Day
London, UK, October 31, 2013 – ForestNation wants to encourage people everywhere to give back to nature by planting a tree on the 28th of November 2013. The organization wants to create a global tree planting image by collecting pictures and videos of people planting a tree. The participants can buy a tree seedling or small tree from a local garden center, florist or nursery. They can plant the tree anywhere they want; in their garden or even in a plant pot on a balcony. It’s the tree planting ACT that counts!
This is ForestNation’s second tree planting day and this event is inspired by Thanksgiving, a holiday mainly celebrated in North America. It’s a day of giving thanks for the harvest of the preceding year and also to think about the less fortunate.
This year, ForestNation wants to broaden the meaning of the day by giving thanks to the source of all we have, Mother Nature. By planting a tree we help restore our natural resources and create a healthier planet that can look after us all.[blockquote3]“Imagine ForestNation… imagine a world where everyone grows their own tree.” – Julian Lennon, ForestNation Ambassador.[/blockquote3]
Everyone who wants to participate in this global tree-planting event can upload their pictures and videos on the tree planting day page and ForestNation will make a short movie to create the global image of Thanksgiving tree planting day.
ForestNation is a “Social Business“; it’s their business to create a positive impact on society and the environment. ForestNation wants to encourage people everywhere to grow their own tree with their tree growing kits. For each ForestNation tree kit you buy they also plant another tree in a developing country. You plant one we plant one.
