As part of our LogiCares commitment to creating positive social and environmental impact, Logitech is proud to partner with ForestNation to bring much-needed trees to Tanzania.
Reforesting Tanzania
From 2016 to 2018, a large swath of the land around Kwekanga Village was deforested due to illegal logging. This has had a severe adverse impact on local biodiversity – and consequently on the local low-income communities that were dependent on forestry-based livelihoods.
Reforestation efforts like those through ForestNation not only help to absorb C02, but create jobs, income and food security for local communities as well.
Giving back with Logitech
As of March 2024, Logitech has financed the planting of more than 24,000 trees and nearly 1,000 work hours with ForestNation. Logitech Planting in Tanzania
We are planting trees in Tanzania, creating sustainable livelihoods for local communities affected by deforestation. This project creates jobs for women, generates income for farmers through agroforestry and educates local youth.
