“Save Our Globe” is a non-profit organization which creates awareness among the people about the impact of Climate Change and necessity of saving valuable natural resources of our planet earth.We organize this year’s WNTD-2015 tree plantation program on 31st May on the occasion of World No Tobacco Day-2015, which is globally organize by World Health Organization (WHO) and other partner organizations.The theme of this year’s WNTD is “Stop illicit trade of tobacco products”We have also raised our voices against the injurious and hazardous effects of illegal tobacco trade, but simply in a different way. We create awareness among the smokers to stop their smoking on that day and contribute their one day smoking cost with us. We bought plant seeds with half of that cost and plant trees.With the remaining half of the donation, we have arranged lunch occasion with the underprivileged and orphanage children on that day.We also avoided printed banner which saves us money and make it environment friendly by ignoring the printing chemicals. We bought some extra seeds with that banner budget.Thanks to our contributors who have make this event successful. We have collected 8 seeds which we planted in the Swarupkhathi region of Barisal district, Bangladesh. We bought seed from Swarupkhathi, which is well known for its nursery projects and with the help of the local villagers we planted 5 seeds in Swarupkhathi among which 3 in a primary school and 2 in a private garden. We took the rest 3 seeds in Barisal and planted there.
