Gardens of Eden for the Future #EarthDay 2015

#ImagineForestNation..Just imagine…a green earth is a healthy earth..food should be available to all, as should healthy soil, clean air and clean water…The 10 trees I planted for #EarthDay were chosen as edible species to foster self-reliance, sustainability & food security, fighting global warming, soil erosion and hunger. No pesticides. Water wise, Own compost & organic permaculture methods. No GMO – most grown from seed or cuttings and transplantedCurrry leaf tree (Murraya koenigii) x 1Papaya tree (Carica papaya) x 3Orange (Citrus sinensis) x 1Avocado (Persia Americana) x 3Fig tree (Ficus carica) x 1Pomegranate tree/shrub (Punica granatum) x 1Some of these little guys were very happy to get their feet into Mother Earth…they were struggling with nutrients in the pots where I started them, so while this is not the best time for transplants here, I am convinced they will thrive. Most were planted on a slope to hold the soil, and into existing ground-cover which will act as a living mulch once covered. #OneLove
