Sorbus Hybrida on Earth Day 2015
planted by ,

Three of six members of forestry staff in Akureyri Iceland planted six Sorbus hybrida trees in the forest around the office building. The other three of the staff were out of town occupied with other things but one tree was nevertheless planted for each of us all to celebrate Earth Day and join in the worldwide effort to reforest the Earth. In Iceland we have an old custom of celebrating the First Summer Day on the last Thursday of April each year. Today is thus tratitionally called the Last Winter Day. The weather has been great these last days and we hope for a good summer with lots of tress being planted. Happy Summer! Happy Earth day! Greetings from Iceland!#earthday #conservelife #mastershift #ImagineForestNation
