Associates of The St. Regis & Westin Excelsior Florence plant an olive tree at Quadrifoglio Recycling Facility.
The associates of the Starwood Florence Complex participated in ForestNation’s Thanksgiving tree planting day on 28 November 2013, after a visit to the Quadrifoglio Recycling Facility in Casa Passerini, in the suburbs of Florence.
This activity was part of a “Green Week” organized by HR of the Starwood Complex, which proposed a rich calendar of eco-sustainable initiatives, that included presentations of experts in the recycling industry as well as workshops on the art of recycling. The associates of both hotels created roses and Christmas decorations from guest newspapers, made soaps out of soaps collected from the guest rooms, and sew soft toys out of old curtains and cushions.
Special thanks to Quadrifoglio SpA, the recycling company of Florence and Alessandro Signorini, their PR, who gave considerable and passionate support in various initiatives such as the tree planting activity. The tree, in fact, was planted in a green area of their recycling plant Casa Passerini.
