We planted one beautiful Guapinol tree in honor of Thanksgiving tree planting day. We are also planting 3000 trees this week and next week. The project, this site plus two others, has been sponsored by Strack Premier Transportation. LRFF will plant 9500 native trees in the next six months of more than 100 native species. The initiative is called “Giving Back With Strack” and is their way of offsetting their projected 2013 emissions. Afterward the company will have a carbon sequestering forest that will be working for them every year.
