My daughter, Jodi and I, are planting first because it’s a service project through our after-school program.  Also, we’d like to give back to the earth for Earth Day; and finally, we’re naming and planting a Red Maple in honor of my dad, Carl, who passed away 4 years ago.  He taught me a lot about trees and plants and I want to pass this knowledge and interest on to my little girl!
