Actuellement, l’activité de prédilection de MISERE, SORS ! consiste à la protection des forêts et des écosystèmes, pour lesquels, avec les jeunes paysans, nous avons monté un programme à grande échelle de boisement et reboisement en vue de limiter les incursions des populations riveraines dans les forêts pour couper les bois, sans lesquels la vie sur terre ne sera possible dans les jours à venir à cause du réchauffement climatique. En plus, nous initions également les ménages à la technique de montage des foyers améliorés fixes et mobiles qui permettent l’utilisation d’une quantité réduite des combustibles lors de chauffage ou de la cuisson des aliments. En fin, nous vulgarisons la culture du cacaoyer dans les milieux ruraux favorables, en vue de la lutte contre la pauvreté au sein des populations.
