South Florida Slash Pine (Pinus elliottii var. densa)
planted by ,

In support of Global Cooperation Day, Christopher Waltz plants his Southern Slash Pine, a thank-you gift from the Florida Association of Native Nurseries for Christopher’s many hours of volunteer service. Florida is a leader in the United States in the use of native plants for landscaping. This is possible only thanks to the passion and dedicated commitment of volunteers like Christopher, who has given so much of his energy to nonprofit organizations like FANN, the Florida Native Plant Society and Florida Wildflower Foundation. Thank you, Christopher! We look forward to seeing that cute little baby pine tree growing up out of its “grass stage” into a tall 40+ foot old flat-topped elder looking over the native grasses and wildflowers planted at its feet.
