The main activity of the ENO program in Brazil is tree planting that involves schools from various regions of the country. These schools organize planting, monitor the growth of trees and recognize the importance of these actions as a learning process that strengthens environmental awareness. Once most schools are located in urban areas and the city’s growth is responsible for a increased pressure on water resources, we are developing tree planting project in the riparian forests to protect our rivers and form a large green corridor. São Paulo is facing today the worst water shortage in 80 years and one of the factors is the loss of forests through the use of urban space in a completely disorganized way. The impairment of quality of life on the planet alerts us to the need for collective action and encourage these actions at school is a priority to motivate these changes not only locally but globally.I am available for any clarification on the tree planting projects involving students in Brazil.
