Welcome to Elmscot Group Forest

Thank You

Share to Plant

Share your tree’s progress.  ForestNation will plant one extra tree for every tree registered in our Forest.

Fighting Deforestation

Trees clean the air that we breathe, filter the water that we drink, and provide habitat to more than 80% of the world’s terrestrial biodiversity.   This perfectly complements our existing activities to protect nature, including litter picking in our local countryside, and awards from Surfers Against Sewage and the Soil Association Food for Life.

Grow With Us

This is an excellent learning opportunity for our children – growing their own tree, while learning about the impact of the Elmscot forest in Tanzania on the local community.

Elmscot’s Forest

Ten trees will be planted in Tanzania for every kit, to create sustainable livelihoods in areas hit hard by deforestation. With tree nurseries located in primary schools, local children are involved. The project aligns with all 17 of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.

Tree Kits

To celebrate our nurseries’ 20th Birthday, we have given each Elmscot nursery child a ForestNation tree kit.  It contains everything they need to start growing their own Christmas Tree.

Nurturing a Love of Nature

We immerse our children in nature, from growing food to a rich variety of exciting adventures in the wild, sparking curiosity and fostering creativity. Our children develop a love of nature and naturally wish to protect it.

A Magical Place for Children

Our open ended learning experiences, delivered in our award winning indoor and outdoor spaces, and extensively in the local countryside, ignite curiosity and inspire children to achieve their best.

Welcome to the Elmscot Group

Our nursery schools and before and after school clubs in Cheshire are repeatedly recognised as amongst the best nationally. We nurture children to be happy, healthy confident learners.

Elmscot Group planting 1

We’re planting in Tanzania’s Usambara region, which has experienced heavy deforestation in the past 15 years, ruining the livelihoods of local people. Trees planted include Albizia Pine, Makhamea, Eucalyptus, Griveria and fruit trees including avocado, plum, and apple.

Elmscot Group planting 2

Local primary schools, including Kitopeni, Mhelo, Kwesimu and Kwembago, are fully involved from nursery preparation to transplantation. The aim is for the children to have hands-on experience practicing skills in tree nursery establishment, empowering them to reforest their future.

Elmscot group planting 3

Trees have been planted in the school grounds, along public roads to reduce erosion, in the Mkuzu river valley and in land adjacent to Magamba nature reserve, protecting the environment.

Reforesting Tanzania

We are planting trees in Tanzania to reforest Mother Earth. This forest creates sustainable livelihoods for local communities, and the cause most dear to us, little children learn how to plant trees and care for nature.
