We were very happy to participate in Earth Day Texas‘s this three day expo, which drew an estimated 100,000 attendees. There were many hundreds of exhibitors, including numerous businesses, government agencies, members of the media, and dozens of local and national non-profit organizations.
ForestNation was very glad to help the GSA stand out amongst dozens of well-known local, regional, national and international organizations. We brought many hundreds of co-branded tree-growing kits into our booth, along with approximately 20 kits that had been started two weeks in advance. The combination of live tree seedlings and enthusiastic staffers proved to be quite effective in capturing the attention of hundreds of attendees.

The GSA is an international organization of over 8,000 schools representing over 5 million students. The GSA fosters collaboration among its members to help them set and meet individual and collective sustainability goals. Uniquely created by schools for schools, the GSA is a global peer-to-peer network of pre-K-12 schools represented by decision makers who work together to solve climate and conservation challenges. These decision makers include students, Principals, sustainability coordinators, faculty, facility managers, business officers and other committed administrators and staff.
Our strategy and results were as follows:
Offer the branded GSA tree kits as a premium gift in return for a $5 donation, which resulted in over $1,200 of on-site revenues.
Use the kits to draw attendees into our booth and engage them in discussions regarding the GSA programs. Over 1,000 pieces of literature were distributed as a result, and the representative from the GSA made some excellent contacts.
After the long weekend, the GSA representative was very pleased with the results. ForestNation looks forward to working with the GSA on future events, and helping them to spread the word regarding their very important organization.
