Welcome to Helander's Spinning Grove Forest

WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY 2023

In recognition of World Environment Day 2023, Helander Metal Spinning company is planting 25 trees for each employee. That is 1,000 trees! But we’re not stopping there. All employees will receive a tree planting kit to start grow your very own Sourwood tree.

Fun fact – Forest Nation employs people with disabilities to assemble the tree kits – another great cause to support

An additional tree will be planted for each employee who names their tree in Helander’s Spinning Grove Forest portal using the code included in your tree kit.

The most creative tree name and photo will win a prize!

What is World Environment Day?

World Environment Day is the biggest international day for the environment. Led by the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), and held annually since 1973, it has grown to be the largest global platform for environmental outreach. It is celebrated by millions of people across the world.

World Environment Day 2023 is hosted by Côte d’Ivoire, supported by the Netherlands, and the theme is solutions to plastic pollution, under the campaign #BeatPlasticPollution. It is a reminder that people’s actions on plastic pollution matters.

INTRODUCING HELANDER’S SPINNING GROVE FOREST

One of Helander Metal Spinning Company’s core values is embracing sustainable practices to reduce our carbon footprint, like going paperless. The UN estimates approximately 12 million hectares of forest are destroyed each year. The production of agricultural commodities, including palm oil, beef, soy, timber, and pulp and paper, drives around 70 percent of tropical deforestation.

To help combat deforestation and build on our paperless initiative, Helander Metal Spinning Company is planting 1,000 trees in Tanzania with the help of Forest Nation to help create a sustainable future for all. An additional tree will be planted for each employee who names their tree in Helander’s Spinning Grove Forest portal using the code included in your tree kit.

Together we can make a bigger impact.
