“It is almost three years now since we planted at this place. Seeing the growing trees reminds me that the lost greenery will soon return. I’m hopeful to see some birds, chameleons and squirrels that we used to play with. I am really proud of my work and I want to help more people in my place with trees which I can personally raise with the skills I learned.” ~ young Shakila from Usambara, Tanzania.
Many villagers, impressed with our efforts, came off their houses with hoes and spades just to assist in planting the trees. A good thing with this operation was the fact that none of them asked for something in return understanding that the trees were meant for them and their future.
