The RY Bourdain itinerary for example created almost 11 tons of carbon just in our plane travel. Not counting side trips. It takes approximately 43 trees per ton to absorb the carbon.
11 x 43 = 473 trees. Round that up to a cool 500 and it is only $150 usd. Less than the cost of a plane ticket for a weekend jaunt.
