Information you have provided us with
Depending on the form you fill out and the related function, this might be your e-mail address, name, billing address, home address etc – mainly information that is necessary for helping you with your enquiry, delivering you a product/service or to enhance your user experience with us.

Information automatically collected about you
This includes information that is automatically stored by cookies and other session tools. For example, your shopping cart information, your IP address, your shopping history (if there is any), your logged in sessions etc. This information is used to improve your customer experience, and to save you time using our website. We collect your public profile data only from your consent that you grant before initiating Social Login, from the social network used to login at our website. This data includes your first name, last name, email address, link to your social media profile, unique identifier, link to social profile avatar. This data is used to create your user profile at our website. You can revoke this consent at any time by sending us an email. Comments

When you leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also your IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Facebook Commenting Information

We embed Facebook Comments plugin to allow you to leave comment at our website using your Facebook account. If you decide to use this facility this plugin may collect your IP address, your web browser User Agent, store and retrieve cookies on your browser, embed additional tracking, and monitor your interaction with the commenting interface, including correlating your Facebook account with whatever action you take within the interface (such as “liking” someone’s comment, replying to other comments), if you are logged into Facebook. Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

We use your Personal Data in order to:

Empower you to Plant Trees and create ForestNation, and to provide our service to you and Mother Earth. This includes for example: registering your account; checkout processing; posting content like tree posts and ,making comments on our website; taking courses and quizzes, collecting points called SEEDS, some basic social community features, providing you with products and services that you have requested; communicating with you about your interactions with our website and the amazing impact we create together; notifying you of changes to any services; enhance your customer experience; fulfill an obligation under law or contract.

We use your Personal Data on legitimate grounds and/or with your Consent.

On the grounds of entering into a contract or fulfilling contractual obligations, we Process your Personal Data for the following purposes:

to identify you; to provide you a service or to send/offer you a product; to communicate either for sales or invoicing.

to send you updates about the impact our tree planting is having and our supporters contribute to;
to send you opportunities to plant trees and/or personalized offers* (from us and/or our carefully selected partners);
to administer and analyse our client base (tree posting/pledging/courses and quiz taking/purchasing/seed collecting behaviour and history) in order to improve the quality, variety, and availability of impact projects / products/ services offered/provided;
to conduct questionnaires concerning supporter and client satisfaction;
to empower you to give your voice by written testimonials to support the the creation of ForestNation for Mother Earth.

As long as you have not informed us otherwise, we consider requesting that you plant trees to support our mission and offering you products/services that are similar or same to your purchasing history/browsing behaviour to be our legitimate interest.

With your consent we Process your Personal Data for the following purposes:

to send you newsletters and campaign offers (from us and/or our carefully selected partners);
for other purposes we have asked your consent for;
to generate funds for our mission.

We Process your Personal Data in order to fulfill obligations rising from law and/or use your Personal Data for options provided by law. We reserve the right to anonymise Personal Data gathered and to use any such data. We will use data outside the scope of this Policy only when it is anonymised. We save your billing information and other information gathered about you for as long as needed for accounting purposes or other obligations deriving from law.

Our email processing partners:

We use Cloze CRM as a contact and email manager to help keep track of your emails and enquiries. You can opt out of these emails and request to be forgotten by clicking the links in the footer of the emails. Cloze CRM privacy policy.
We use Sendgrid and Amazon ses as email service providers.
We also use Google/G Suite to process email and communication with our donors and supporters. Google’s privacy policy.
We keep all email and chat communication indefinitely to help us provide support and improve our services. Individuals can request copies of any previous correspondence with us at any time.

We only work with Processing partners who are able to ensure adequate level of protection to your Personal Data. We disclose your Personal Data to third parties or public officials when we are legally obliged to do so. Your Profile Picture (Gravatar), Display Name, Website (URL) (if any) and Biographical Info (if any) will be visible to all visitors to our website (e.g. if you leave a comment, forum post, or contribute an article/post).
If you author an article/post, your Username, User ID, Profile Picture (Gravatar), Display Name, Website (URL) (if any) and Biographical Info (if any) are provided to any visitor using the website’s API interface.
If you upload media (e.g. images) to the website (in forums, posts, or comments), you should avoid uploading images with EXIF GPS location data included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data included in images on the website.
If you edit or publish an article/post, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited.

We use WordPress Multisite self-hosted software and all your personal information will be stored in WordPress databases on Liquid Web servers. Liquid Web’s privacy policy. Your data is secured using SSL Encryption on a secure server behind a firewall.

What Data Breach Procedures We Have In Place

Should any event occur where customer data has been lost, stolen, or potentially compromised, our policy is to alert our customers via email no later than 48 hours of our team becoming aware of the event. We will also report such incident to any required data protection authority. We will work closely with any customers affected to determine next steps such as any end-user notifications, needed patches, and how to avoid any similar event in the future.

Children

We do not intend to collect or knowingly collect information from children. We do not target children with our services.
