What is the germination rate of the tree kits?
We select seed species with a high germination rate, typically 80-95%. Depending on seed size we include 3 to 10 seeds in each kit to increase the chances of germination. If the trees do not germinate, the recipient can let us know and we will send a free replacement and help them grow.
What is the shelf life of the tree kits?
Tree kits have a shelf life of up to a year if stored in a dry environment. Keep them away from moisture and they are ready to grow whenever you like.
Do you provide instructions on how to grow?
Yes. Every tree kit comes with step by step instructions, plus a link to video instructions.
Can the trees be grown indoors?
Yes. You can grow the trees in a plant pot indoors, on a balcony or terrace. In limited space, prune them regularly to keep them manageable.
Where are the tree kits made and how?
The tree kits are handmade in Knoxville, Tennessee for North American orders, and in the UK and Europe for orders there. In the US they are made by people with disabilities, another good cause to support.
Do you offer fulfilment, rush service and custom packaging?
Yes. We can ship to individual locations, offer rush production and shipping (this may cost extra), and provide custom packaging such as custom boxes, flyer inserts and custom kits. Get in touch and we will help.
Are the tree kits really compostable?
Yes. Every part of the tree kit is plastic-free, and either biodegradable or compostable.
What seed species are in the tree kits?
We will give you options suited to your region, and we have species that can be grown anywhere in mainland US.
