Red Fred

The Atkins High School planted a Red Northern Oak Tree on the school campus on October 4, 2013 as a part of Global Cooperation Day. Global Cooperation Day is encouraging us all to protect and enjoy nature by joining together to plant trees around the world.  Ms. Wygal’s AP Human Geography students and Mr. Dye’s Environmental Science students took part in the action to plant their tree. High School Principal Mrs. Robinson, stated “Atkins High School is doing our part!” The students named their tree Red Fred and enjoyed the planting process and being apart of a great cause!

Thanks for growing this Tree and helping to create a #forestnation.
