Tapcheck Plants Trees for Earth Day and Brings Their Team Together

137 Trees
Tapcheck Forest

Remote teams are harder to bring together than ever, especially during company-wide moments like Earth Day. Tapcheck partnered with ForestNation to create a shared tree-planting experience for 136 employees across remote and office settings, combining custom Tree Kit Cups with direct-to-employee shipping across the US. The result was an interactive Earth Day campaign employees could participate in together, regardless of location.

The Challenge: Creating One Shared Experience Across a Distributed Team

Tapcheck had more than 130 employees split between remote and in-office work.

The challenge was not simply sending gifts.

It was making the experience feel unified.

The campaign needed to:

  • deliver a consistent experience to both remote and HQ employees
  • coordinate nearly 100 individual shipments at scale
  • arrive on time for a fixed April 24 Earth Day event
  • feel interactive and meaningful, not transactional

Most importantly, the experience had to bring people together, not just send something to their doorstep.

The Solution: Tree Kits Shipped Directly to Employees Nationwide

ForestNation worked closely with Tapcheck to build a campaign designed specifically for a distributed workforce.

The initiative included:

  • 136 custom-branded Tree Kit Cups
  • 98 individual shipments sent directly to remote employees
  • 1 coordinated bulk shipment for the HQ team
  • delivery timed ahead of the April 24 Earth Day event

Each employee received a Tree Kit they could grow themselves, transforming the campaign from a passive gift into a hands-on experience.

Behind the scenes, ForestNation helped guide the rollout through changing headcounts, shipping coordination, and event timing to ensure every employee received their kit before the event began.

That allowed Tapcheck to focus on their team, while ForestNation handled the operational complexity in the background.

The Results: Earth Day Became Something Employees Participated In

Instead of simply talking about sustainability, Tapcheck gave employees a way to participate in it together.

Employees joined the event, assembled their Tree Kits, and shared a collective experience across remote and in-office environments.

What could have been another company event became something tangible and personal.

Not just a message.
A moment employees could grow themselves.

And because every employee took the experience home with them, the campaign continued after Earth Day ended.

Takeaway: Shared Experiences Matter More Than Company Swag

Most employee gifts are consumed in seconds and forgotten days later.

Tapcheck chose something employees could interact with, remember, and continue growing after the event ended.

That is the difference between sending a package and creating participation.

For distributed teams, the best engagement experiences are not the ones employees receive.

They are the ones employees experience together.
